Open Shelter Ministry
Volunteers from our parish community help with food preparation, donations, and dinner service for homeless men at the Open Shelter on the 1st Monday of every month. If you would be interested in this ministry, call Cheryl Costello, 263-5115, or the parish office, 267-9241.

Respect Life Committee
"Every human life, from the moment of conception until death, is sacred because the human person has been willed for its own sake in the image and likeness of the living and holy God." (CCC 2319). If you are interested in bearing witness to the Gospel of Life, by being a part of the I.C. Respect Life Committee, contact Mary Beth Hinger at 262-9332 or the parish office.

Building Responsibility, Equality and Dignity Organization (B.R.E.A.D.)
Immaculate Conception is part of a network representing 40 interfaith congregations throughout Columbus that participates in the organization. B.R.E.A.D. seeks to draw upon the strength of people of faith to act on local issues working together toward a greater degree of justice and fairness in the community. This is done through relationship building, direct action and negotiation with decision-makers. For information, contact Ed Hoffman at 262-5548 or the parish office, 267-9241.

IHN/YWCA Homeless Ministry
Our parish is involved in a unique opportunity to host homeless families at the WYCA Family Center off 5th Avenue. The Center is operated through the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Volunteers from our parish provide meals and host families during evening hours on the last Wednesday of each month. A sign-up board is in the Church vestibule. Contact Kathryn Kiefer, 447-1877 or the parish office.

Habitat for Humanity
The mission of Habitat is to work in partnership with God and people to build affordable homes, empower families, and develop communities. I.C. has been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Columbus for over 20 years. Our parish provides financial help to purchase materials for construction of homes and provides parish volunteers who actually go out and build homes.
Volunteer work takes place on Tuesday and Thursday morning, as well as our main construction day on Saturdays. Those with and without construction experience are needed. To become involved, email John Fields at fields.28@osu.edu or phone 267-5667, or call the parish office.
