Immaculate Conception School

1st Grade: We are learning how to log onto the school network using our own username and password.  We are learning about the parts of the computer, their names and their functions.

 

2nd Grade:  We are learning how to log onto the school network with our own personal user names and passwords.  We are also learning about word processing programs  and spreadsheet programs and how to change font style, size and color.

 

3rd Grade: We are creating a PowerPoint book titled “All About Me”.  We are working with a template.  We are learning about clip art, inserting pictures and formatting backgrounds and transitions.

 

4th Grade:  We will use the survey tool to collect data about our family pets and create graphs in Excel to show our results.

 

5th Grade:  We are creating party invitations in a word processor.  The skills practiced are inserting clip art, formatting pictures, inserting columns, customizing fonts, and inserting breaks in a document.

 

6th Grade: We are learning how to use formulas in a spreadsheet to countdown to special days.  We are also learning how to format cells to display information in a usable format.  We are working with a word processing program to create a poster announcing a party.  We are reviewing how to insert clip art, change page orientation, insert word art, format backgrounds, and customize fonts.
