May and June Dates to remember:

May 16^th: Kindergarten attends mass

May 28^th: NO SCHOOL (Memorial Day)

May 30^th: Kindergarten attends mass

May 31^st: Transition Day (from 2-2:30pm, kindergarten will go to 1^st, 1^st to 2^nd, etc. to learn about

next yearJ)

June 1^st: Books, Bubbles, Buddies, and BK lunch (look for a note to come home towards the end of

May)

June 4^th: Talent Show @ 1:30pm

June 6^th: Last day of Kindergarten!!! Field Day. 12:30pm dismissal.

A.M. drop off: Please only use the carpool lane out front ONLY if your child can get out of the car on their own. When parents get out of the car it holds up traffic on North Broadway. Please drop off at the steps, not the bottom of the ramp or anywhere in between. Feel free to park behind the rectory and walk your child to the door using the crosswalk.

Please dress your child for the weather!!! We have recess twice a day and walk to the big school atleast twice a day-it will soon get very wet. Many hats, gloves, and coats look alike…please label everything that you send to school.

Please empty your child’s folder each night as it is important to review your child’s daily work

Homework

All homework will come home on Monday (unless there is a holiday) and should be completed and returned on Friday in the homework folder.

Please complete the handwriting practice that comes home each week. There are two sides to trace and print the letter. Please also complete the creative writing assignment that comes home each week. Draw a picture and write two sentences about the prompt and drawing. Don’t forget to read the book each night and return it Friday for a new one!
